2 KINGS

Introduction

After roughly ten weeks of work, I’m proud to present my graduation short film, 2 KINGS. It’s been a demanding but incredibly rewarding process — one filled with experimentation, challenges, and countless lessons along the way. This short marks the first entry into a broader creative vision: building a Scottish-inspired claymation universe where handcrafted charm meets digital storytelling.

Production

Every 3D element of 2 KINGS was created in Blender, from modeling and sculpting to animation and rendering. The project pushed both technical and artistic boundaries, balancing stylized claymation aesthetics with cinematic composition and movement. Compositing was handled through a mix of Blender and DaVinci Resolve to achieve the right texture and tone, while final sound design and additional edits were completed in After Effects.

Collaboration

While most of the film was a solo undertaking, I was fortunate to receive valuable input from several mentors and peers. Jais Bredsted provided animation feedback that helped refine the character motion, Stefan Hansmar contributed thoughtful project sparring throughout development, and Rasmus Jensen offered story guidance that strengthened the film’s emotional core.

Reflection

2 KINGS has been one of my most ambitious and personal projects so far. It represents not only a technical achievement but also the start of something larger — a creative world I hope to continue exploring through storytelling, worldbuilding, and character-driven design.
