Cinematic intro with a Viking ship and an ocean simulation for a fictional 3D animation studio, made in two weeks together with Noah Fog.
Introduction

Viking Ship Animation is a collaboration with Noah Fog over two weeks. The goal was a short intro for a fictional 3D animation studio, which would quickly give the studio an identity through mood and movement. The technical work lay mainly in fluid simulation and lighting.
Contribution
I set up the base scene, built the camera composition and made the ocean with foam and wave movement. I rigged and animated the boat so it moves with the water surface. I also made the thunder and lightning sequence, the blocking of the logo animation, the underwater environment and all of the sound design.
Reflection
The hardest part was synchronising the ship's movement with the ocean and getting sound and picture to match. The project showed me how much two people can get done in two weeks when the tasks are divided by what each of us is best at.
Collaboration
Noah did all the compositing and improved the base scene. He refined the underwater particles, improved the logo animation and helped pull together the final visual tone.
